Outback Sport Wagon 0-60?

Apr 03, 2004 3 Replies

I notice that most of the new car guides are no longer listing 0-60 times in their listings of new models. Does anyone happen to know what range the Outback Sport Wagon has (auto/manual) for a 0-60 time in the 2004 model? I'd like to know how it compares to the turbo in the WRX wagon.

Thanks.

The Outback Sport should get pretty much the same numbers as a TS since it's the same car with a few suspension tweaks and different trim.

The TS Wagon and 2.5 RS:

Top speed : 130 mph

0-60 mph : 7.9 sec.(manual), 8.6 sec.(auto) 0-¼ mile : 15.9 sec @ 89.0 mph(manual) 60-0 braking distance : 125 ft 200 ft skidpad : 0.82 g

WRX:

Top speed : 147 mph

0-60 mph : 5.7 sec. 0-¼ mile : 14.4 sec @ 94.3 mph 60-0 braking distance : 130 ft.

WRX STi:

Top speed : 152 mph

0-60 mph : 4.7 sec. 0-¼ mile : 13.2 seconds @ 104.0 mph 60-0 braking distance : 114 ft 200 ft skidpad : 0.90 g

I don't see how the TS and RS can be the same. They have different gearing, the RS being geared lower than the TS. OBS and TS should be close.

Can't comment on the gearing...got a pointer?

Different numbers here for '04 2.5RS

0-60: 8.3 sec. 60-0 braking distance: 133 ft 1/4 mile: 15.97 sec. Skidpad: 0.78 g
