1995 Lincoln Town Car rear wheel noise/brakes?

Bad metal to metal sound coming from passenger side rear wheel each time wheel rotates to a certain position. When brakes are applied the noise stops. Comments or suggestions?

The rotor is out of round, needs turning. Also, brake pad may not be following the piston when it retracts, leaving it where it can rub the rotor when the 'high' side of the rotor comes around. HTH, s

If the noise changes when you apply the brake, you likely need new brake pads. If it has worn to the point they are noisy, yopu will need to have the rotors turned or replaced depending on the state of the damage.
