I was watching a movie the other day wherein someone went up to the front of a car and hit the bumper dead on in the area where it might mount to the left frame extension with a small sledge hammer. This seemed to activate both dashboard air bags. Is this reality or is it just Hollywood? Thanks, Lenny.
Hollywood. The system takes more than that to activate.
Just keep in mind that in Hollywood you car can also transform into a walking, talking, sentient robot. Plus you can buy a revolver that can fire 20 plus rounds without being reloaded....
I was in a fender bender with my '01 Dodge Full size van which pushed the bumper in, and the airbags didn't go off. When I remove the bumper to replace it-it never came in contact with the van body, so no airbags for me! :)
