Break fittings

Where can I find break fitting adapters? I have a Camaro that has larger than normal break fittings with bubble flares on them. The lines rusted out and none of the parts stores near me have replacement lines with the correct fittings on them.

Thanks in advance, analogman

If you have the tools you can buy a slightly long line and put a new fitting on it. You may be better off taking the car to a local independent brake specialty shop and have them replace the lines or just make a set for you.

Thats precisely what I'm looking for. However, all the parts stores by me don't have the adapters. Does anyone know a web/mail service selling these?

Thanks

seriously? Even the three-stooges have a decent selection of brake line adapters if they bother to restock.

But anyway, here's a trick I've used when replacing a rusted powersteering or brake line. If the original fitting is in good shape I cut off the premade flare on one end (I don't do it for this purpose alone unless it's a really odd fitting) I exchange the one that came with the line for the original one and flare the line.
