What? You mean you don't believe his oil pressure gauge survived? HAHAHA

No oil pressure on startup for excessive amounts of time. I changed the oil and a fram filter one day. On the first start after the change, I thought it was ok.. But, the next day I started it and had no oil pressure. And.. It wouldn't build up either.. I thought my oil pump was out. I shut it off, and restarted, and it finally came up to pressure after a few more seconds. Yanked the filter, and replaced with a FL1A and never had the problem again. Orange fram filters and many six bangers don't play well together. :( MK
I buy my oil filters at NAPA.When I start up the engine in my old 1978 Dodge van, of course the oil gage is reading low.I sit there for about less than half a minute and let the engine (318 cubic inch engine) oil pressure build up to normal. cuhulin
When I start my 86 Jeep with it's 1978, 258 straight six engine I have instant high oil pressure with a Canadian Tire brand filter.
With one of those orange Fram filters, I have no pressure for a while and really bad noises.
