Have a 1997 Malibu 6 cyclinder with air and 125,000 miles on it. I have taken it in yearly to Chevy garage and had them fixed whatever they have found wrong. Early this summer they fixed all the codes that showed in the computer which numbered 2 of which one was a leak in some airline, Do not remember other. Runs fine but getting old and rusty. Oil get changed on regular basis usually every 3,000 and tuned up at 100,000 miles because they said it had platinum plugs and trans and power steering flushed at recommended intervals. Coolant was set to recommended temp when they fkushed and refilled it.
The last two or three winters when it gets cold like this AM in the
20s and blustery the check engine light comes on. It stays on a couple days or until weather warms up and goes out. I check all fluids and they are good and the car starts and runs fine and does not stall or anything. When I take it in it gets in garage and warms up the light goes out and they tell me they can not check it unless the check engine light is on.Any suggestions as to what could be causing light to come on??
TIA
