Compression Test

How do you do a compression test in a long block which is outta the car?

Assuming your engine does turn clockwise and it is right-hand threaded bolt you are dealing with... and good luck trying to get the bolt once you are done with it. Air tools are a double-handed sword.

When the engine is in the car there is a starter and a flywheel and electricity to make this happen; when the engine is in a stand, chances are none of these requirements are there.

Consider a leak-down tester instead. It's a much better test, can be done on a stand easily. Rex in Fort Worth
