I went to Livonia Autoplex for problem with my car. My Car was stillunder warrenty. I asked them to do the work only if it is underwarrenty. They said yes no problem we will call you and let you know.They never called me back, i had to call them three times to get holdof them and check on my car. They said they were busy and they can'twork on my car today (eventhough i had an appointment). Second daysame thing. They got to my car third day (so i was without car forthree days). After that the guy said everything we do is going to becovered under warrenty. But they could not fix the problem rather hesuggest me that my car is ok but i need to do 30,000 miles service tofix the problems, which cost about $579. I said no i don't want to dothat service and the guy said they can't find any other problem. So isaid ok i will pick up my car today. When i went to pick up my carthey charged me $156 for checking...!!!! I was really upset. Also ihave done similar work at other dealership but they never charged mefor this, it was always covered by the warrenty. The only reason iwent here was because i couden't get appointment at other place.I am telling this, because i don't want anyone else to go through thesame trouble.So Please don't go to this place. Also i checked their ranking withmfg.. It was lowest. They don't have any certifications... They don'tknow how to fix the car, But they do know how to charge....

So you're upset because you want them to cover their labor under warranty,but you haven't kept the warranty in effect by doing the required service.You're unreasonable, and may have just lost the rest of your warranty byfailing to do the proper required maintenance.

I experienced almost this exact scenario several years ago with a '97Infiniti I30t at Crest Infiniti (Cadillac, Oldsmobile, Hyundai, etc) inPlano Texas. The A/C went out under warranty. They replaced thecompressor. As soon as I got it back, there was an instant drop of 4 MPGand the cooling was about half what it should be - classic symptom of anovercharged system. I took it back and the guy says "We can't look at theA/C unless you pay us $499 for a 30,000 mile service so that othermaintenance related causes can be ruled out." I told him not once but seventimes that everything on the list had already been done by me (which wastrue by the way). He goes to get a manager to "explain to me the importanceof proper maintenance." He can't find the manager, so he starts coding intohis computer "owner refuses 30,000 mile service" and nothing about the A/Cproblem. I took the keys back from him and drove directly to anotherInfiniti dealer (there are 3 in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area) and...

What was the specific problem you thought needed to be fixed under warranty? What, specifically, was the maintenance they were going to preform for the $370 some dollars?

Mike, The problem here is they said it should fix it!!!!! NOT it will fix it!!!!! After loosing my car for three days, i was upset and didn't want them to do any work on my car. who knows after doing 30k service they might say well it seems the problem is still there.. too bad... I rather not deal with that kind of people. For me i don't have trust on anyone i won't do it... Paying money is not a problem, I am not crying about money here. I just want everyone else to know to be aware of these people...

There was strange noise at start up. Also there was a problem with shifting. Automatic shifting was not reliable.. I told them specificaly that "if is not covered under warrenty than don't do it", They said over the phone that yes it will be covered under warrenty and later i am getting charged.. Also they said it might fix the problem if i do 30k service...

I did went to other delear... and Now everything is fixed the way i want it. Simply Livonia AutoPlex.... Don't Go... if you are not in Michigna.. Be-Aware of this kind of people....
