1978 fiat 124 spider 3000 on rebuilt trans. I pops out of third gear on deceleration. any ideas? is this a common problem? Thanks Tom

sounds suspiciously like bad bearings in the tranny. after a rebuild, it should not be. as i recall, (been a long time) htere's a bushing in third. i'll have to look at the parts book. otherwise, has there been any possibility of mis-alignment of the tranny with the engine? sammmmm
