My son has a 91 Pontiac Grand Am 2.5 liter, Auto. He recently swapped out the alternator and battery (not that it has any bearing).
The car will start fine, then after driving or idling for several minutes it will die. Then it won't restart. It will crank great, but no start. Let it sit for several minutes and it will start just fine again. We pulled the air cleaner lid and cranked it during one of those no start periods. Couldn't see any gas spraying out of the injector (tbi injection) while cranking. Tried swapping out the fuel relay, no help.
Any ideas?
