Mobil 1 0W-40 in Brazil?

I went to the parts store to buy some supplies. With all the talk about "long lasting oil" here, I wanted to have a look at the Mobil 1 0W-40 label. A couple of bottles were strangely mislabelled. All the fronts were in English, but a few were in Portuguese with the address of Mobil's Brazilian division.

The Brazilian label claimed API SL, SJ ratings, but didn't carry the API donut. It also made reference to the MB oil standards that it supposedly met.

You should only use that if your car is metric, or the name of the car ends in a vowel. Rex in Fort Worth

The label said 229.3 and 229.5. I'm guessing that the oil is the same regardless of where it's sold. They just slapped the wrong label on the back and shipped it domestically. It also had a different UPC code #.
