There are three of them on my 1983 Dodge full size van. I have already repl aced two of them, but I reckon I will have to disconnect them from the wind shield wiper motor so I can replace the middle bushing. Unless somebody kno ws of an easier way? A few weeks ago I was watching Wheeler Dealers on TV. They were fixing up an old Jaguar for resale. Ed China (Wheeler Dealers) re moved a few bolts/screws and lifted out the whole windshield assembly/unit to do some repair on it. I wish my van was that easy.

****** I dont think so either, but aside from a few knuckle scrapes, this is not rocket science.I had been driving about two months with that cowl off of my van. I got tir ed of that. I used a screwdriver to prize the arm off of the windshield wip er motor bracket. It was easy to slide both arms through one of the big slo ts. I replaced that middle bushing then I buttoned everything back up. Gass ed up that van today, seventy dollars, twenty two gallons.
**** I can sympathize with you. When I had my Dodge van (1997) we had a time of high fuel prices, and that sucker cost a LOT to fill up. Still, it was a very dependable car. It was sold (or given) to a young couple in the next town, and is still running. Their payment scheme, is, however, far far in arrears.
my '01 Ram Van has 27k on it. It gets driven 3-4 times a month just to keep the battery charged etc. 11-13 mpg really sucks with the 5.9L motor. :( I can't remember the last time I filled it up. At least fuel prices seem to be coming down for the time being. $3.40/gal at the local BJ's
