4Runner Sunroof Glass

Anyone have experience changing the sunroof glass in a 95 Toyota

4Runner? This one is cracked from a baseball landing on it and the local autoglass place directed us to the Toyota dealer. The thought of going there scares the heck out of me though in terms of where the price might go so I thought I'd check here for input. TIA

On-line it's $315 at "

". They show an MSRP of $415, but I've found that local dealers where I live charge over the MSRP for parts.

Autoglass are hard to break, they are laminated with this special coating so they wont shatter. You really dont need that much visibility on a sunroof unlike the windshield or other windows. Did you try testing if that thing will leak from a car wash? if you need a bandaid fix while the glass is not yet available then try Silicone RTV to cover the cracks. Use a rubber squeegee to flaten em out. You may need to put something hard underneath so that glass wont weaken when youre pressing on it. BTW, Use the clear and not the gray stuff.
