{OT} wwjd -->joke<--

Most people assume WWJD is for "What would Jesus do?" But the initials really stand for "What would Jesus drive?"

One theory is that Jesus would tool around in an old Plymouth because "the Bible says God drove Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden in a Fury."

But in Psalm 83, the Almighty clearly owns a Pontiac and a Geo. The passage urges the Lord to "pursue your enemies with your Tempest and terrify them with your Storm."

Perhaps God favors Dodge pickup trucks, because Moses' followers are warned not to go up a mountain "until the Ram's horn sounds a long blast."

Some scholars insist that Jesus drove a Honda but didn't like to talk about it. As proof, they cite a verse in St. John's gospel where Christ tells the crowd, "For I did not speak of my own Accord."

Meanwhile, Moses rode an old British motorcycle, as evidenced by a Bible passage declaring that "the roar of Moses' Triumph is heard in the hills."

Joshua drove a Triumph sports car with a hole in its muffler: "Joshua's Triumph was heard throughout the land."And, following the Master's lead, the Apostles car-pooled in a Honda: "The Apostles were in one Accord."

There is not question that Jesus would drive. Naturally he would drive a 15 passenger Ford Econoline van. What other vehicle today could be used to haul him, his disciples and all their stuff? LOL

Why wouldn't Jesus drive a 15 passenger Chevy Express van? Acquisition cost is probably not a concern so why not a Hino hybrid route bus or Toyota Coaster hybrid bus?

Do you really believe Jesus would have to BUY what ever he chose to drive? There is not doubt he would choose the Ford Econoline van. It outsells all other brand full size vans by a wide margin. It has been the number one selling full size van for over twenty-five years. Buyers must believe it is by far the best van, if so many more buyers have been choosing the Econoline over all others on the market for all those years. ;)

All the more reason he wouldn't choose the Ford. Jesus wasn't into the popular thing, he hung out with the rejects of the world. He said and di things the establishment didn't like. For that reason I think we would have driven a stinky retrofitted diesel VW Microbus.

Just because he wore sandals and had long hair I doubt that he was a hippy. Besides the VW would be too small. ;)

LOL! Just checking your reasoning. If I has 12 disciples to cart around, I'd probably go with the Econoline as well because there's too many things about the Express van. If all those loaves and fish are part of the payload, I'd start thinking about a Prevost coach

I like to think Jesus taught tolerance, so I bet he would.

It seems that Ford has managed to alienate both anti-gay and gay organizations by supporting some causes that gay organizations support and by pulling ads from some publications aimed at gay audiences. I doubt if the issue has any real impact on Ford's current financial challenges, but I'd bet that both sides of the anti- and pro- gay argument will claim credit for causing those challenges.

Yes, an unemployed Jew and a democrat according to his teachings, he would have driven the VW.
