Yes. OEM tires, and replacements, which were the same size.

Good question; unfortunately I never asked. I'd had the car a couple of years before I was really fully aware of the problem--after I got the GPS. And by then it didn't seem that big a deal.

There was an anecdote posted recently about a cop who, apparently, recognized another car as having speedo problems. I had a similar incident in rural Missouri. State cop stopped me, specifically asked what my speedo had indicated. No ticket issued.
