I need to pull some red/black zip cord through the firewall to get to the battery. On first blush there appears to be no easy way to get there. One wiring bundle goes through near the steering column but on the engine side it is encased in a plastic guard which routes it away from hot surfaces and is hard to get at. Next to the parking brake there appears to be a pressing in the firewall for something and perhaps I could drill through there but I'd like to know what's on the other side! Wiring must go to battery. Anything in the shop manual on this one? Any help from anyone who's done this?
