Layna, The vibration is probably due to tires out of balance. You need to take the car to a tire store for wheel balance and rotation. The check engine light is telling you something is wrong with the engine controls. You need to have it diagnosed and repaired. Some problems, if ignored, will cause another component to fail. i recently washed the grease from my engine, trying to be careful i covered the alternator with a plastic bag but when i was finised the car would not start anymore.
any diagnostic suggestions?
Take off the bag/s and let it dry out.

I DEGREESED MY ENGINE ON MY 95 CAMRY AND WHEN I WAS FINISHED THE ENGINE WAS DEAD. BEFORE THE CAR RAN GREAT. I WAS CARE FULL NOT TO WET THE ALTERNATOR DIRECTLY. I TOOK OFF THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND FOUND THE IGNITION COIL A LITTLE WET. I DRIED OFF THE WET AREA BUT THE CAR STILL WONT START?
I NEED SOME EXPERT ADVICE AS TO WHAT MIGHT ME THE PROBLEM.
I've seen customers who got water into the spark plug wells, for those who have those long spark plug boots. One customer got water into the Mass Air Flow sensor and had to buy another one (350 dollars, ouch). If you know how check for spark and fuel to narrow diagnosis of why car won't start.
