2004 Camry 6cyl versus 4cyl

I have a friend who is interested in 2003 or 04 Camry. She wants a 6 cylinder. It appears that most are sold with the suggestions on which to buy ? She does drive in some mountains but rarely. Most of the driving would be level and commuting to work. I've heard the 4 has plenty of power but then someone else said that the 6 would be a lot quieter. She is interested in a basic LE at most.thanks
