2VZ to 3VZ

Hi folks, we have a VZV21R Camry - 1990. While the 2.5L V6 appears to be in very good condition I cant help but wonder if when the time comes a 3VZFE wont bolt right in. I figure the looms and management are different but does anyone have any experience in the mounts and bellhousings etc?

Pat.

I can't recommend installing the 3VZ. It's not a very strong engine for some reason. I managed to destroy one at 60,000km of sedate driving. The 1MZ is a better choice for a longer living engine, but may be difficult to install. Probably be cheaper to sell up and buy a newer Camry :(
