Hi, I've a 1998 camry, which when i tried to take a reverse, stopped working and the gear shift knob was moving freely. Later called AAA to tow it, if anybody had this problem before please send me the details where to get the gear shift cable? and how much does it cost?

Someone else on TN had this problem with their Camry. The dealer wanted a lot of money to replace the cable. The cable itself was very high, can’t remember the numbers. The car owner ended up having a junkyard pull one for $100 and shipping it them. At time of this problem, several months ago, could not find any aftermarket cables. This could have changed.
