CAMRY WILL NOT START, HELP PLZ!!!

I have a 1994 Camry LE coupe, 4 cylinder, auto with 139k miles. Yesterday it was fine, with no symptoms of dying. Today when I went to start it, it wouldn't start. It would crank over and over again but not start.



I don't think it is the battery because it wouldn't crank if it was and all the lights come one.



I tested to see spark and there was none. I also took of the distributor cap and saw the rotor turning, indicating the timing belt is fine.



So today I replaced the distributor cap and rotor and spark plugs. Still does not start. I suspect it is the ignition coil or ignitor? Someone, anyone please offer comments or suggestions.

Coils are known issues, was it humid or raining last night, if so try cleaning the outside of the coil with alcohol

No it was not humid nor raining. I'll clean the coil. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'd like to know if you ever figured out the problem with your car. I have a 91 Toyota and we changed the fuel filter. Ever since we changed it the car won't send fire to the spark plugs. We have changed out the computer, distributer and cap, spark plugs and wires, coil, ignition igniter,and the rotor button. I'm stuck and don't know what to try next. Any Ideas?

If it happened after you did the filter you likely hit a primary 12v wire and made it loose, they are nearby, right, start with a volt meter to get readings off the coil to see if it gets 12v and trace your issue .

There are alot of wiring harnesses in the filter distributor area, Ive seen corosion in mine affecting lights, yours is probably a 12v issue of a wire or harness you hit
