Extended warranty on a 1995 Toyota Camry

Hello listers, I am planning on buying a 1995 Toyota Camry LE which has about 83000 miles on it. I am shopping around for an extended warranty (the dealer is giving me a 30-day warranty) for atleast 6 months to an year or so at a minimum. Any ideas or suggestions as to who can give the best deal? Thanks. Sumant

That is going to be hard and expensive to find. Most companies do not want to insure a car tht old. I am not sure it is worth the cost. Just as a guess, for a 20k mile warranty, you are looking at $1000 atleast.

Go to edmunds.com. They have extended warranties there. So does AAA.

I doubt you will find any warranty on a car that old. If you did it would cost a lot and not cover much, why not take what you would have paid for the warranty and spend it on a proper checkup and maintenance?

A warranty on this particular car would most likely be a complete waste of money, since they have such a good reliability record. You might have to replace the shock absorbers and the muffler, but they wouldn't be covered by any extended warranty I've seen.
