Just brought home an 05 XLE and noticed a rattle near the passenger side of the dash. Seems to kick in around 35-40 mph. Anybody else experience this, before I harrangue the dealership?

Hi,
If the car is under warranty and it has creaking and rattling, does the warranty cover that? Do I have to take it to the same dealership that I bought it from or can I take it any Toyota dealership and get it done and the dealership will be paid by Toyota.
As for your question regarding the dash - some folks on this forum reported the plastic piece on the dash above the meters tend to rattle. But not on the passenger side. i'm sure it's not, but are you sure it's not the metal part of the seatbelt hitting the pillar?
Thanks.
Anil
You would have thought they would have solved all the rattle problems before beginning the new model production. Really shows how bad Toyota quality has become.

I have an '03 Camry. I had a rattle that was the passenger side speaker connector. The speaker is mounted in the front corner of the dash on top. I remover the glove box and cover that is below the glove box. Than was able to reach up from under the dash and pull the connector just past a metal bracket that the connector was leaning against. The connector was wrapped in foam but part of it was still exposed.
Hope this helps.
