Hi people,
I am very worry now that my area(Toronto GTA) has been raining for weeks now and my 2000 Camry's disc brakes are rusting badly. The actual braking surface is barely ok with the friction removing most of the rusts, but other areas are not. I can clearly see heavy rusting on the two rear disc's axiles and very bad rust between the internal area of every disc. Braking seems to be normal for now, but I don't want the braking system failing while I am driving 120km/hr on the highway.
Is this going to be a serious problem? Is there any way to slow/stop/reverse the rusting other than an expensive replacement of the discs and braking clamps?
Please help!
Frank
