My 96 Tacoma 2RZ-FE showed a code P0510 "Throttle Position Switch Closed". Is this the same as the Throttle position sensor? If so where is the cheapest place to buy a replacement, and is it very hard to replace? Thanks, Howard

It is probably referring to the idle position switch which is part of the TPS usually. That switch is suppose to close when no throttle is applied. You should be able to check that if you have the wiring diagram for that TPS. It also may be due to a misadjustment of the TPS or a short somewhere.
