92 4RUNNER A/C PRESSURE READINGS

Hi there,

Can somebody get me the proper A/C pressure numbers for low and high side for 92 4runner with the 22re. Also, oil capacity for the compressor would be helpful, too.

Thanks in advance! Cederic

It's not a simple static pressure number... The pressure of the refrigerant depends on the temperature in the system - usually the hotter the higher. You have to measure the air temperature coming out of the ducts (or off the back-side of the radiator for the high side) and cross it on the chart to see if the pressure is right.

They publish the Temp/Pressure charts for the various refrigerants in the service manual's AC section - separate charts for R-12 and R-134a - and if someone put in an "Interim R-12 Replacement" refrigerant like "Freeze-12" in an R-12 car, that has it's own T/P chart. If you have a charging manifold with gauge scales for the right refrigerant, they mark the temperatures on the dial.
