93 toyota truck

small bed, 2 wd, 5 spd., very basic...150,000 miles, 22re engine (runs and sounds great), however...a loud sound from the rear end/differential or ...both wheel bearings on the rear. sound is not the throughout/pilot/clutch bearing. Possibly the output shaft on the transmission but has no variance in sound loudness when accelerating... Any past experiene like this or close? You feedback would be greatly appreciated

If it is the drive-shaft u-joints then you should have a heavy vibration at certain speeds. If the rear differential is going then it should be louder when coasting. Wheel bearings usually squeal.

If the brake components are trashed then you may get a grinding sound from the drums.
