'94 4Runner

Hi;

Have a 1994 4Runner that needs one front sway bar bushing replaced.

There are "upgrade" kits that make this claim: "Polyurethane bushings are made to last a lifetime." They (MAKO) claim rubber bushings don't last. This I have found to be true, especially if you drive 1 out of ever 5 miles in the dirt, as do I. Polyurethane is a plastic. So my question is, has anyone had experience with this aftermarket "upgrade"?

Thanks, Richard Harper Morgan Hill, Ca

I have used 'Nolathane' bushes in every car that Ive needed to replace them in. IMO, Makes the ride somewhat stiffer, which can be seen as good or bad dependant on what style your driving is. A full upgrade kit for the front end will definately be felt in the bum but makes teh handling a bit better.
