Check engine light on. Time for a new vehicle. Trade this one in or sell privately? What is probable cause for the idiot light?

The check engine light turns on and you think it's time to trade it in? What do you think you own? A Chevy? :)
The check engine light could be any number of things. You will need to read the code and find out.
Oxygen sensor is most likely cause.
