I drove a 2000 Tundra off the lot and when I would slow down on thedown hill... wow, lots of brake vibration... almost like bad rotorsbut inconsistent and seemed most on downhill stops...Do all the 2000-2003's do this... Paul

Not '03 and newer... a TSB was released to fix the problem. R&Rrotors and calipers. If you're still under the 3/36 (or even ifyou're not) stop by a dealership and ask about it. --- Rich

I have a 2001 Tundra. At 17,000 miles I got the same problem. Especiallywhen braking, right around 40 MPH, it would shake pretty frontbrake pads were totally worn and the rotors warped really bad. I did alittle research on line and found many, many similar complaints. It's aToyota defect, but as of a couple of months ago Toyota wouldn't admit thatthere was a problem, and they wouldn't warranty it. Other than that theTundras great.

There is a TSB in place for your truck and if you only have 17000 miles on it they are supposed to fix it. Contact Toyota corporate, they fixed mine after I raised Hell and I already had 60000 miles on mine.

You need to find a different dealer. As of a cople of months ago? A TSB was released over a year ago to correct this problem under the

3/36 warranty. "Toyota" admitted to a problem... but apparently your dealer doesn't care.
