Brake system on grand am

Hi Again, Is almost time to replace the front pads for my grand am 2000. So far I have not noticed any problems with the brakes in the city, like some other peaple report. But when I used down the hill for a long time, I start to feel the shaking. A friend recommend me to change the OEM rotors for a Slotted rotors. I make some research and I found many types, do anyone of you have experience with Slotted rotors ? Are it better ? And last question, do you happen to know any good brand for brake pads ? the dealer will charge 250 for the front pads replacememt ... Thanks ...

Slotted and drilled, One word, ebay. I put them on my malibu, also look for better brake pads.

powerslot makes good ones...look at pfyc.com

Two more question, if I upgrade the front rotors, do I have to upgrade the rear rotors as well ?

Do you know a good brand for brake pads, or I just go for the most expensive ?

Regards
