Sound sounds like it's coming from anywhere from under the cab to the rear differential, it's hard to tell.
Notable points about sound;
-sounds like high pitched whistling
-just started in the last week
-happens in 2WD or 4WD
-stops when I put a load on the engine, i.e., when I am actively accellerating or when I am using the engine to decelerate
-if the sound is happening, I can put it in neutral and it (the sound) will continue
-does not occurr when the vehicle is not moving
-if I am highway driving and just giving it enough gas to maintain the current speed, the sound can and does start; if I accelerate a bit, I can make the sound stop but it will start again if I let acceleration approach zero, i.e. constant velocity
The clutch does not slip. It does let out high though.
Any thoughts?
