Help with a brake job on a t100

Hey guys/gals

I hope I'm not an idiot, but I'm sure someone will let me know that.....

I tried to put on a set of pads yesterday...but there was a hiccup.

First i'll say i've done this before so what i saw and expected were not the same.

The caliper bolts to the sliders which are then inserted into the caliper bracket which is them bolted to the knuckle right?

The sliders wouldn't budge. Are they sliders? I'm referring to the are the tubes to which the caliper bolts go into. they have rubber covers and a little end that looks like a 'T'

What to do? I tied to hit them gently witha 5 pound hammer, but they wouldn't budge. I tried with a C-Clamp. nothing.

I didn't heat them or anything, because i started to second-guess myself. Can anyone help? Any solutions?

Try compressing both pistons at the same time.

It's 2wd, front brakes. Looks like the slider pins are rusted in these beyond repair. Caliper is good, no problems there.
