I am trying to replace my broken parking brake cable and I cannot remove the old cable from the back of the Handle inside the cab? I cannot get the little ball/cylinder out of the back of the shaft? does anyone know what the trick is? Please help! Thanx a lot,

If I remember right about doing mine, I found it was easier to remove the whole parking brake assembly from the chassis, install the cable in the slide mechanism and then re-attach the hand brake assembly.
