I have a 2001 LC, that came with the optional hitch. However I can't tell if it is a class III or IV hitch. It says that the max tongue weight is 650 or 975 for weight distributing equipment. I have found references that class III only support up to 500lbs of tongue weight, so this would lead me to believe that it is a class IV.
Any help would be welcome.
