Runaway Toyota Highlander does not have floor mats!

My suggestion would be, if you see one coming at you in a runaway condition, stop your car, get out and try to stop it by standing in front of it.
A double-thumper should at least slow it sown...
The people with the Highlander said that they do not have the Toyota floor mats mentioned in the recall; not quite the same thing as no floor mats. Non-OEM floor mats are potentially more dangerous than incorrectly installed OEM mats.
So much for Microsoft CarKuntrol software
