got a 78 baywindow that finally got its motor put back in; having a head- scratcher of a time remembering where a few of the wires went.
it wants to start, but won't idle.
the wires currently perplexing me are the white ones near the cold start valve (one pair going to a single female spade, and then another single female spade)
any suggestions? one of them is for the oil sensor i think? that's the doo-hickey under the rubber grommet near the cold start valve, right?
No oil sensor. There is a temp sensor in the left side head though. It's single wire does come out thru a grommet. That goes into a plastic splice and thence to the FI harness.
There are 2 Ground connections (3 wires) which come out of the harness together.
The last single spade is the long one that goes to the Coil (-) terminal.

It's not the temp sensor wire I'm talking about, that one's hooked up. I've got two white wires that go to a single spade, and another white wire that goes to it's own spade. All are dangling currently. Also, nothing is hooked up to the oil pressure sensor (the sensor sticking out through the tin between the dizzy and the cold start), but I think that just drives a dash light anyway.
Is there a pin out of the ECU connector anywhere?? That would help immensly!

Pinout in your Bentley. Pins #5,16,17 are Ground. That accounts for the 3 dangles. They go to spades on the engine case, near the alternator.
The OIL sensor is not part of the ECU harness; it gets a Blu/Grn from the Main harness.
