I am looking for a machine shop in NW (Waterbury/Torrington Area) that are knowledgable and capable with regard to Air Cooled VW machine work. I am specifically embarking on a type 4 1700 rebuild for my '72 bus. I am sure that any number of machine shops are capable of performing the necessary work but would like to find one that has some experience in this area Especially the cylinder head work. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

.................If western Connecticut is anything like upstate NY, you're better off shipping all of your acvw machine work to RIMCO in California............just my opinion.
