electrical question

the alternator will not begin to charge if the blue idiot light wire is not connected. If the engine is running, and the alternator charging, will it continue to charge if the blue wire is disconnected? Thanks in advance, George

Yes!

When charging, there is ~12V available at Term D+ from the internal diode "trio". That voltage is then made available to the internal (or external) regulator. See my web site for details.
