fuel pump

Got my leaky fuel pump replaced today. I ended up going with a hundred dollar German one from OEVEEDUB. We'll see if it is any better, but I am not taking any more chances with the Brazilian pumps!

Brazilian pumps suck. Even though I've had one for quite long without problems. Sometimes they misteriously work.

Unless I'm mistaken (not possible, haha) that's what pumps are supposed to do. A pump that doesn't suck, is probably broken. :D

Is the german pump NOS, or are they newly made? Everywhere I have looked only has the cheapy Brosol/made in Brazil units. Does it have the removable dome top with mesh screen?

I would like to have an extra pump on hand, but before I pay big bucks, I want to know exactly what I am going to get.

The pump looked newly made, I don't know about the mesh screen because I've never had a pump that had that. I got it from here

might give them a ring and find out exactly what it is, but I do knowthat this pump when held next to the Brazilian one weighed much more seemedmore solidly built. The pump came in a VW box and said made in germany onit.
