South East Minnesota - not far from the Illinois/Iowa/Wisconson/Minnesota border., But you have to negotiate a bit on the price. A bit. (My wife is watching).

Very nice look

On 3 Jul 2004 17:46:43 GMT, p scribbled this interesting note:

As a custom car this is very nice. Pretty much the way I'd do one of I wanted a custom job. I have to say, however, that is in no way a restored car. Very nicely updated. Very nicely dolled up. I like just about everything about it and if I was in the market for a hot rod VW I'd consider this one, but it is not a restored car as stated "You don't see many old bugs totally restored like this one very often." Hell, even our '59 isn't original and it isn't restored. The paint is not the original color, the upholstery isn't original (plaid was not an option, unless I'm much mistaken!:~), but the engine is original, as are the rest of the mechanicals.

Misuse of the term restored is a pet peeve of mine. Custom? Great. Renovated? Good. Updated? Accurate. But restored implies putting something back into its original condition. Your '67, although a great looking car, is by no means restored.

No disrespect intended...
