Just bought my Dream Kharman Ghia, need to know what size engine

Hello everyone,



I just bought my dream car, a 1960 Kharman Ghia. I know thta is DOES NOT have the org. engine. The numbers on the case are AK 0006166. I believe that it is a 1600 CC but I want to be sure. Need to know a good resource page to check. Thanks in advance

47 years old so good likelyhood that it has been rebuilt - serial number will show original factory displacement BUT not what is is now. If no documentation is available from engine builder then you'd have to tear it apart and measure pistons/clinders/dispalacement.
