it seems a spot weld or two on my 66 regulator has come apart. would jb weld work? i have no experience in this area and buying a new regulator is costly.

DRILL out the spot welds and Put some small screws at least, ................best to do is to weld them bcak if at allpossible.
Somewhere in between is Rivets.

Artificial Intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.
...................The steel rivets (rather than the aluminum ones), especially the heavier 3/16" ones are at least as strong and resistant to becoming loose as any sheet metal screw or small screw & nut in my experience.
