700 Turbo -O2 sensors?

O2 sensors sometimes fail. They don't really wear out, but as the sensing surface gets contaminated, so they act as though they are wearing out. Bosch recommends heated (your type) oxygen sensors to be checked/replaced every 60,000-100,000 miles.

I can see how the 3 (OEM) inlets could get plugged.

Thanks, My 780 failed. I then, replaced the O2 sensor. I will take it through emissions, again, next Saturday.

I put in new plugs and cleaned the throttle body assy, again. It did not fail badly. I won't post the readings.

Both the plugs and the O2 sensor had a fine gray dust on them. The sensor was not a hard job, with the right tools! I used a generic and spliced it in. Next time I will just clean it off with carb cleaner or whatever solvent will remove the crust.

I do not see a performance improvement with the new sensor. The 780 runs pretty good. But, then it did, before. Maybe it responds a little more solidly.

I next want to learn to adjust my boost. I have a Garret on the 780. I am cleaning up that linkage at the back.
