94 960: Cold mornings coolant warning light.....

With recent near and below freezing morning temps, my 94 960 has been burning its coolant level light on start up through warm up. Once warm..and once the car is restarted...the light goes away.



Coolant level is fine. I'm suspecting a send unit that doesn't like the cold or a sticky thermostat. Other ideas appreciated..

Check the Anti-Freeze or coolant in the reservoir for the Anti-freeze properties - if you ever topped up with plain water, the "coolant" in the reservoir may be actually freezing over, causing the sensor problems...
