Hi all,
Yesterday I had to remove the grill from my 740 and noticed a multi-blade fan blade directly in front of the radiator.
Later on I looked at it while the engine was running (at idle speed) and it wasn't turning.
What's it's purpose ?

Should be the auxillary fan that is activated by a sensor to engage the fan in unusually hot temperatures, or while at idle.
Someone disconnected mine on my 1987 740 before I got it, not sure why and I haven't reconnected it. I probably should, as it is a cool 105 degrees here in Texas.
Some folks leave it alone when it dies, unless they really need it.

Thanks. Mine just flat dismounted and is sitting, wedged in place. I guess I can re-mount it and attempt to re-connect the power supply.
