Thinking about buying a midrange cd player/headunit to replace the factory radio in my '06 Jetta; something that'll play cds and also have a front panel aux jack to hook my ipod into.
I only have one question: I was checking Crutchfield for info, and it mentioned something about having to buy a special mounting kit to use in conjunction with aftermarket headunits. Is this true? Spatially, to my layman's eye, the factory radio/cd player unit looks to be a double DIN. Am I wrong? If not, how do I deal with this in installing a single DIN headunit?
