I'm in the process of purchasing a 2002 Jetta (in the US) and wonder whether the 4yr/50K mile bumper to bumper warranty is transferable to the second owner. If it is, does either the seller or the buyer need to take any action, or is the transfer automatic? Thanks.

The owner's manual will describe everything. In it will also be a card to inform VWoA of your purchase so that you can get notices of updates, recalls, warranty extensions, etc..
