3rd brake light attachment

Hi,



I have a 89 Jetta, what do I use to attach the 3rd brake light to the back window? My dad used double-sided foam tape a couple of years ago, and it either hangs there somewhat or drops down (and the white colored foam tape is really ugly).... silicon any good??



Any suggestions?

How about using the small black adhesive pads used to fix the rear view mirror to the windscreen on some modern cars - available from most motor factors & very sticky
