Hi everyone, My Golf even with new heater core still blow cold air in passenger compartment. Any ideas what could cause this. Temperature on instrumental panel rich normal temp, no overheating but no hot air in the compartment. Any suggestions will be appreciated Dosio

Make sure that the coolant is full. Make sure that the hoses going to the heater core are getting hot.
If yes then it sounds like the fresh air is not being diverted to travel through the heater core. That should be a cable problem from the heater temperature control or a problem with the fresh air box.

Does the engine temp guage get into the normal range in a reasonable time? the following was a real time involved repair: On a 89 jetta - ( same symptoms ) the diverter door covering had disintegrated ( kind of like instead of a door - it was a wide open window ) allowing cold air into the car without the air passing through the heatercore. So with the temp.control at max. heat - it was really like having the it set to 1/4.
